appropriate for younger age groups. We have compiled a
comprehensive play list that focuses on younger audiences.
Elementary dance:
This song list is designed for young children it is our “G” rated music
list. This play list removes all music with questionable content. We
call this our DISNEY music list. This song list is perfect for daddy
daughter dances, family dances and class parties.
There are some top 40 songs on this play list however songs with
questionable content are not played.

| MOST SCHOOLS NO PLAY LISTS ARE OUTDATED ERG RELEASES 150-250 SONGS MONTHLY IN THE TOPS GENRES THAT YOUTH LISTEN TO. THERE ARE NEW ARTISTS NAMES EVERY WEEK! MANY OF THE LISTS HANDED TO ME BY ADMINISTRATORS HAVE ARTISTS WHO HAVE NOT RELEASED A NEW SONG IN OVER ONE TO TWO YEARS. THE BEST WAY TO HANDLE MUSIC FOR YOUR CAMPUS IS TO CREATE A COMMITTEE TO OVERSEE YOUR DANCES! WE WILL WORK WITH YOUR GROUP TO CREATE A SCHOOL SAFE PLAY LIST FOR YOUR EVENTS. |
| ADMINISTRATORS AND STAFF What we learned! Putting together a Christian School, Jr. High dance and elementary school dance list takes more effort. We learned this from experience! Ground Zero contracted a Christian School dance using our ERG edit ratings only to find out that 'RADIO EDITED" music is not good enough. The "RADIO" versions of many songs still contains strong sexual and questionable subject matter. After packing up our equipment that night I realized that we had let our audience down in many ways! I sat with my DJ staff and decided to work on a system of screening music that will allow our Christian, Jr. High and elementary schools to hire a DJ service and be confident of the music presented. THREE STEPS TO ASSURE THE RIGHT MUSIC We offer a full review of all songs played that night This allows staff to "SEE" the music list. We review this list every event and make changes as needed. We allow staff to PUSH A SONG OUT during the event. If for some reason a song still seems to be out of bounds after we start the song we will quickly cross-fade to another song, |
